Thanksgiving Break

Thank you all for coming to eat Thanksgiving lunch with us last week. I really enjoyed talking with each of you and spending this special time together! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing break!

I had a very relaxing break, I enjoyed my time with my sweet baby girl and husband. We enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday and then went shopping with family on BLACK Friday. We bought a lot of goodies!

We also went to a Polar Express birthday party. Harper had fun playing in the bounce houses and eating candy. She did NOT like Santa this year, I am hoping she will start liking him soon so she can get some prizes for Christmas.

This is Harper on one of our relaxing days, I loved spending time with this sweet baby, I am so thankful to have a job where I can take off during these special holidays to spend with my family.

Brattonsville Field Trip

Within the next few weeks we will begin learning about the Revolutionary War, to prepare students for this lengthy and challenging unit we went to the Historic Brattonsville to learn all about the LOYALIST and PATRIOTS. Here are a few facts you may not know.
Does anyone remember what the word "neutral" means?? There were 1 out of 5 "neutrals" in the American Revolution!

Learning to march with muskets...and to add to this, the person in charge of this session told me that our class was the BEST class he had so far to march with the muskets! Way to go kiddos!

Love these kids!

Inside a plantation house.

Classroom back in the 1700's.

We ran into some sweet girls from Mrs. Burns' class while on the scavenger hunt.

Students, list 2 things you liked the MOST about this field trip and you will receive +5 on your slavery test this week.
